POUGHKEEPSIE – A woman was the victim of an assault in Poughkeepsie, the city PBA said.
The incident occurred just before 11:30 p.m. on Sunday night when police investigated a disturbance on Grant Street.
Upon arrival, officers located a woman who had sustained a laceration to the ear and was in and out of consciousness.
Further investigation revealed that she was the victim of an assault and that the suspect had fled the scene prior to police arrival, the union said.
Crime scene technicians and detectives responded to process the scene and investigate.
This investigation is ongoing.
