NEWBURGH- The New York State Bridge Authority held its first-ever Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) meet and greet event on March 28 at the Newburgh campus of SUNY Orange.  Over 150 attendees were able to connect with the authority and other state agencies, as well as network with prime contractors and consultants.

To build upon the state’s commitment to the utilization of MWBE’s and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOBs), the bridge authority hosted the meet & greet to forge connections and encourage further participation of these companies in state contracts.

Attendees were able to learn about upcoming contracting opportunities with the authority and other entities, as well as gain more info about the certification process for MWBEs and SDVOBs.
