CITY OF HUDSON – A 19-year-old man has been detained and taken to Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson for a mental health evaluation after he was identified as having taken a photo of himself with a Glock pellet handgun with text stating he was “going to shoot up the school.”

State, federal and local law enforcement began their investigation on Monday night and identified the man, who is not a student in the school district.

Hudson Police said he admitted taking the photo but denied making any threats to the school.

This was the second reported threat involving violence against the Hudson City School District in the month of March.

Anyone with additional information about the latest incident or similar ones is urged to contact the detective division at 518-828-3388.
