Beacon man facing multiple felony drug charges

BEACON – Thirty-four-year-old Jerami Davis of Beacon is facing multiple felony drug charges after being arrested by agents from the Dutchess County Drug Task Force on Friday.  The arrest follows an investigation related to the sale of dangerous drugs in Beacon that began several months ago.

Davis was identified as a cocaine dealer as a result of the investigation.  Drug Task Force Coordinator, Det. Sergeant Adam Harris, noting that the task force operates countywide. “The Dutchess County Drug Task Force has agents assigned from multiple police agencies from throughout the county to keep dangerous drugs out of our communities.  The arrest of Jerami Davis, like many others, is an example of our efforts in Southern Dutchess County.”

Davis was arrested and arraigned in Dutchess County Court on an indictment charging him with two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and two felony counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance.

Following his arraignment, Davis was released to the supervision of the Dutchess County Probation Department.
