BEACON – An afternoon fire in the City of Beacon Tuesday required mutual assistance from Orange County fire departments.
The fire was in a 445-foot by 180-foot occupied multiple dwelling at 3 Colonial Road. First responders reported fire from the roof. The three-alarm blaze burned off a large section of the roof, affecting numerous apartments.
City of Newburgh and Coldenham firefighters were called to the scene to assist in the firefighting operations.
