ULSTER- The Ulster County SPCA is hosting its monthly wellness clinic on April 15, 2024.  By appointment only, a $45 non-refundable deposit is required and includes the exam and rabies vaccine.  Additional services can be purchased at an additional cost including distemper vaccine, heartworm test and preventatives, FeLV/FIV testing, bordetella vaccines, microchipping, flea medicine, nail trim and ear cleaning.  Call 845-331-5377 ext. 216 to book now.

The Ulster County SPCA will also be hosting a free rabies clinic on April 5, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in partnership with the Ulster County Department of Health.
By federal and state law, all companion dogs and cats must be vaccinated against rabies to prevent the spread of this fatal disease to animals and people.  The first rabies vaccine is good for one year, with the second vaccination good for three years.  This first-come/first-serve, no appointment drive-through clinic is free and open to all Ulster County residents.
For dogs, pet owners should bring vaccination records and proof of license from dogs, acquired through the town clerk of their town of residence, and all dogs must be leashed.  For cats, ferrets and small animals, pet owners should bring vaccination records and all animals must come in pet carriers.
