WASHINGTON, D.C.- Congressman Pat Ryan announced the March schedule for his Constituent Advocacy Resources Empowerment Services (C.A.R.E.S.) van. The van, staffed by highly-trained caseworkers from the Congressman’s team, provides direct assistance to constituents across NY-18 – ensuring people can access everything from help with passports to Social Security benefits to flood recovery assistance right in their own community. Congressman Ryan’s office will be partnering with State Senator Michelle Hinchey’s office for events on Friday, March 8, 2024, in Red Hook and Rhinebeck to bring assistance with both federal and state-level agencies to constituents.
“Too often, assistance with federal agencies can feel out of reach, that’s why I’m bringing it to Hudson Valley families in every NY-18 community with the C.A.R.E.S. Van,” said Congressman Ryan. “My team goes that extra mile to cut through bureaucratic red tape and get Hudson Valley families the benefits they’ve earned. I’m proud to partner with Senator Michelle Hinchey’s team to bring both federal and state agency assistance to Red Hook and Rhinebeck this month. Congressman Ryan’s C.A.R.E.S. Van assists constituents of NY-18 in accessing earned benefits, such as Veterans’ Affairs benefits and Social Security, federal grant funding, passports and visas, immigration and naturalization services, and resolving issues with federal agencies, such as the Internal Revenue Service.
