POUGHKEEPSIE & NEWBURGH- United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region (UWDOR) is hosting the fourth annual Talent United Showcase, welcoming participants of all ages residing, working, or attending school in Dutchess or Orange counties. Whether you have a musical, dance, magic, comedy, or any other talent, nominate yourself or someone else by submitting a 3-minute talent video and completing the online form by March 13th.
Winners, determined by popular votes, will be announced at the Celebration of Service event on May 8, 2024, with prizes awarded. Voting for top entries takes place from April 1st to May 1st, and the top three finalists will be notified on May 3, 2024. In addition to receiving prizes, a donation will made in their honor to a charity of their choice in Dutchess or Orange Counties. All top contestants will be showcased in our Celebration of Service program journal and the winner will be asked to perform at this event.
Last year 13 contestants included singers, dancers, musicians, a skateboarder, a magician and an amazing hula hoop balloon artist. With over 15,000 votes placed over $5,300 was raised to invest back into our community from the competition alone.
