Trucker sentenced for stealing semi-tractor trailer with $32K worth of alcohol

WHITE PLAINS – A truck driver from New Rochelle was sentenced to six months in jail for stealing a semi-tractor trailer containing more than $32,000 worth 0f alcohol from a lot off Interstate 87 in Yonkers.

Kelvin Garcia Liriano, 28, pled guilty to grand larceny.

In addition to his jail time, he was sentenced to five years of probation and is required to pay just under $43,000 in restitution.

On March 21, 2023 at about 1:15 in the morning, he stole a $45,000 tractor trailer containing 1,560 cases of Mike’s Hard Lemonade, a liquor-based beverage, worth some $33,000, from a lot in Yonkers.

He drove it to Brooklyn where it was later found by police abandoned and empty on Atlantic Avenue.

Liriano was arrested in the Bronx on April 17, 2023.
