MID-HUDSON – This late winter storm dropped nary a snowflake in the northern Hudson Valley as compared to several inches of the white stuff to the south.

In Rhinebeck in northern Dutchess there was not even a flake of snow whereas in Greenville and Middletown there was well over a foot and Carmel reported seven to eight inches.

Monticello got only about two inches.

Regardless of whether areas got a couple of inches or more, during the height of the storm, several accidents were reported with vehicles sliding off roadways. There were no reports of injuries.

Snowplows and sanders were out cleaning up the roads to make them passable for driving later in the day.
