CARMEL – Police in the Town of Carmel Monday identified the suspect in the stabbing of a man during an Airsoft game at the Paladin Center Campus on Seminary Hill Road last Sunday as a Bedford Hills man, 20-year-old Justin Pagan.

Police said during the dispute, Pagan allegedly brandished a fixed blade knife and stabbed the 33-year-old victim from Mount Vernon six times in the chest and torso.
As Pagan was assaulting the victim with the knife, he accidentally cut his own hand, police said.

Both men were transported to Danbury Hospital for medical treatment. Pagan was released a short time later and taken into custody by Carmel Police detectives.

He was charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon, arraigned and remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $150,000 cash bail or $300,000 bond.

In addition to the several stab wounds, police said the victim suffered a collapsed lung as a result of the assault.

He remains in Danbury Hospital in stable condition, according to police.
