MID-HUDSON – Enterprise Community Partners has expanded its Making Moves housing mobility program to help families secure better housing.
The new area of concentration will be in Orange and Dutchess counties, said Catherine West, the senior program officer.
“The Making Moves program is a regional program seeking to address residential segregation throughout New York State, so we serve Section 8 housing choice vouchers families with children under the age of 18 that are seeking to move into neighborhoods with lower poverty rates and better-performing schools,” she said. “Enterprise administers the program with funding from New York State Homes and Community Renewal.”
The new areas of concentration will be in Newburgh and Poughkeepsie and surrounding areas of Orange and Dutchess counties.
