KINGSTON – Police in Ulster County have arrested two people following a months-long investigation into the sale of cocaine, fentanyl, and xylazine in the county.

Police said it became a high priority for Kingston Police and the Ulster Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit because of the distribution of drugs, some causing fatal overdoses.

Both suspects, Matthew Felton, 43, and Amber Pratt, 33, were out on bail from previous drug sales arrests. They were arrested following execution of a search warrant on Thursday, January 17.

Felton was charged with four counts of drug possession and one count of criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Pratt was charged with bail jumping, a bench warrant for the felonies of five counts of drug possession and two counts of drug sales, as well as criminally using drug paraphernalia.
