CARMEL- Putnam County Government will be hosting its first ever Career Exposition on February 7, to help connect jobseekers and those curious about working for the county.  The event will take place from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bureau of Emergency Services.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their résumé and will have an opportunity to speak with department representatives on-site about opportunities in the county’s different departments.

“This is a great opportunity for Putnam residents and individuals from surrounding communities to get some face time with potential employers and their foot in the door,” said County Executive Kevin Byrne.  “Putnam County Government is a great place to work, a lot of good benefits, competitive salaries, and a supportive and positive work environment. We’re always looking for new talent and there’s a lot of great career paths offered.”

Several departments will be in attendance, including the County’s Bureau of Emergency Services, Department of Health, Department of Public Works, Office for Senior Resources, Department of Social Services and Mental Health, the Sheriff’s Department, the County Clerk’s Office, and Department of Motor Vehicles; all of which currently have vacancies in their respective departments that need to be filled.
