WHITE PLAINS – A Port Chester man has been indicted on a charge of attempted murder in the November 2023 Yonkers shooting of an off-duty New York City Police officer.

Bryan Martinez, 30, was charged with attempted murder, attempted assault, criminal possession of a weapon, assault and reckless endangerment, all as felonies.

Westchester District Attorney Miriam Rocah said he allegedly fired approximately 13 rounds at the victim in broad daylight.

It is alleged that on November 14, 2023 at about 1:25 p.m., Martinez used a 9mm pistol to shoot at the victim, striking him once in the arm.

Martinez was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $500,000 cash bail, $750,000 bond or $1 million partially secured bond.

Authorities said the victim and alleged shooter were known to each other.
