WARWICK – A man who was found dead in a drainage ditch on Orange County Route 1 in Pine Island has been identified by Warwick Town Police as Sukhwinder Singh, 36, of Pine Island.
Warwick Police Chief John Rader said they received a call on December 26 that a body had been located.
Detectives have determined that Singh fell into the ditch at some point on the evening of December 16 and became stuck in the mud.
The chief said it appears to be an accidental incident; however, the final cause of death is pending the toxicology results from the autopsy.
