WARWICK- Greater snow-making ability.  An expanded menu of tasty food options.  Those are just some of the latest upgrades at Mount Peter Ski Area in Warwick, the go-to destination for winter family fun. Mount Peter is now open for the season, offering skiing, snowboarding, and tubing, as well as excitement, convenience, and enjoyment.

Mount Peter, New York’s Family Mountain, has been introducing new enhancements for years to offer more memorable experiences.  This year, Mount Peter can make more snow when needed thanks to an upgraded pumphouse, and a larger kitchen produces a greater variety of delicious treats for winter fun-seekers who work up an appetite on the slopes.  Other improvements:

  • An expanded and redesigned Snow Basin Learning Center with a third “carpet lift” conveyor belt that carries new snow-sport adventurers to the top of the beginner hill.
  • A much roomier, 5,000-square-foot rental shop – double the size of the one it replaced – to make obtaining skis and other equipment a breeze.
  • An online system that enables guests to plan a trip and purchase tickets in advance at www.mtpeter.com.

Families have been coming to Mount Peter for good times and great memories for generations.  The Hudson Valley location, an hour from New York City, is convenient to the entire tri-state area.  Famous for its free lessons for new skiers, the mountain welcomes enthusiasts of all levels with trails from beginner to black diamond.
