WHITE PLAINS – Atlas Air Worldwide which provides services to customers in global airfreight, commercial, charter, and the military, announced on Thursday that it is moving its corporate headquarters to White Plains.

Atlas committed to retaining 400 existing, full-time jobs in New York at its newly leased 60,000-square-foot space where it will be investing $4 million in tenant improvements, including new equipment, IT, and security.

The company expects to move from its current headquarters in nearby Purchase in January 2024.

The state’s Empire State Development Corporation has given Atlas a $2 million capital grant for staying in New York.

“Atlas is excited to continue our ties to New York, which is an important part of our global network as we support our customers around the world,” said CEO Michael Steen.
Atlas also maintains a global operations center near Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport in Erlanger, Kentucky; a training center in Miami, Florida; operations centers in Anchorage, Alaska and Hong Kong; and logistics centers around the world to support its global network.
