KINGSTON- The Board of Trustees of Ulster Savings Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Maureen Halahan as a new board member.

Halahan has successfully worked in the field of economic development for more than 20 years serving as Chief Executive Officer at the Orange County Partnership.  Under her leadership the Partnership transitioned from a public/private organization to being a 100 percent privately funded corporation.  Under her leadership, the Partnership has attracted more than 300 major new companies to our region and created more than 10,000 new jobs in Orange County, generating billions of dollars in capital investments.

A resident of the Hudson Valley, Halahan is an Executive Member of The Governor’s Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Development Council, serves as co-chair of the Stewart Air Service Development Committee, and co-chairs the Board for 17-Forward-86 LDC.

Halahan’s other achievements include being one of the founding members of the Orange County Capital Development Corporation, one of the first Board Chairs of the Hudson Valley Economic Development Corporation, and serving on the Warwick LDC, which resulted in the redevelopment of the Mid-Orange Correctional Facility—the first ground-up corporate park to be built in Orange County in decades.

When not promoting Orange County, Halahan supports several greater Hudson Valley community initiatives such as the United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region, Leadership Orange, Hudson Valley Cancer Resource Center, Hudson Valley Honor Flight, the Danny Prial Memorial Golf Outing, and other veteran and humanitarian causes.
