POUGHKEEPSIE – City of Poughkeepsie mayoral candidate Wesley Lee next week will announce a coalition campaign.
Lee will be joined by councilmember at-large candidate Vincent Pedi and five other candidates for common council including incumbents Evan Menist (D, WFP-2nd Ward, majority leader), Debra Long (D-1st Ward), Chris Grant (D-6th Ward), Megan Deichler (D, WFP-8th Ward), and first-time candidate Jamar Cummings (D-5th Ward).
The coalition candidates will announce a coordinated campaign, representing the first-time primary election candidates representing a mayor, council chair, and a majority of voting members of the common council would commit to working collaboratively to win their races in anticipation of having a unified city government.
