NEWBURGH – Police in the City of Newburgh are continuing to investigate two shootings that occurred around 2:45 Saturday morning in which a 25-year-old Newburgh man was shot in the left leg.
He was transported to Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
This latest violence occurred in the areas of the 411 Lounge on Broadway and 18 Lake Street.
Police were alerted to both incidents by two simultaneous Shotspotter notifications indicating three rounds were fired.
Police are looking for any witnesses who may have been in the area at the time of the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 845-569-7509. Calls can remain anonymous.
