CATSKILL – A man wanted in a March 12 murder in Scranton, Pennsylvania, was arrested on Friday in Catskill.

The US Marshals Service arrested Travis Lanzo for shooting David Deshler several times in Scranton, killing him.

Scranton Police teamed up with the Marshals Service on March 29 and determined Lanzo had fled to New York’s Capital District.

Investigators were led to a residence in Catskill in Greene County and surveillance determined he was occupying the home.

With the assistance of the Ulster County Emergency Response Team and Ulster County Crisis Negotiating Team, Lanzo surrendered on Friday.

A warrant search of the residence resulted in the seizure of suspected drugs packaged for distribution, a firearm with an obliterated serial number, and a ghost gun.

During the investigation, the Marshals Service partnered with the sheriff’s offices in Greene County, Ulster County and Rensselaer County, and Albany Police Department.
