Police arrest teen for Pine Bush school’s “shooter” threat

PINE BUSH – Police have arrested a 14-year-old Town of Wallkill boy for falsely reporting an incident in connection with Wednesday’s 911 call reporting a shooter at Pine Bush High School.

The boy is a student at the school.

Immediately after the call came in, police from across the county responded and determined the call was unfounded.

The investigation revealed the boy called 911 using another student’s cellphone and reported a shooter in the building.

It was determined there was no threat to students or public.

State Police and Town of Crawford Police were assisted by several police, fire and EMS agencies throughout Orange County.

The boy was issued a family court appearance ticket ands released to the custody of his parents.
