KINGSTON- It has been an exciting and busy first 100 days at the Westchester Medical Center Health Network’s (WMCHealth) newly reimagined HealthAlliance Hospital, and Network leadership extends its gratitude to the thousands of community members who continue to choose the new HealthAlliance Hospital for life-changing and lifesaving care.

Clinical and operational specialists at the new HealthAlliance Hospital cared for their first patients in December 2022 and since that time HealthAlliance Hospital workforce members have:

  • Hosted more than 7,800 emergency department visits

  • Attended to 147 critical care patients

  • Performed 830 surgeries

  • Conducted more than 100 cardiac catheterization procedures.

Also, a baby was born at the new HealthAlliance Hospital on the first day of patient care, and since then, HealthAlliance Hospital’s women’s health specialists in the Family Birth Place helped deliver more than 55 babies.

“The positive community feedback we have received since opening the new HealthAlliance Hospital is inspiring to myself and my colleagues, and a true testament to the skill and dedication of the entire HealthAlliance Hospital workforce,” said Michael J. Doyle, MD, Executive Director and Chief Medical Officer of HealthAlliance Hospital.  Residents of Kingston, Ulster County and the surrounding region continue to trust us with their care, and we are solidifying our reputation as a modern and trusted care choice. I cannot wait to see what the next hundred days have in store for HealthAlliance Hospital and the families we serve.”
