POUGHKEEPSIE – Dutchess County Sheriff Kirk Imperati has promoted Lieutenant Todd Grieb as the new Captain of the Patrol Division.  The 20-year veteran is well-known in the law enforcement community and most recently served as a K9 handler.

Captain Grieb began his career as a Deputy Sheriff with the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) Law Enforcement Division in 2003, eventually becoming a K9 handler.  Grieb told Mid-Hudson News that the promotion “Is a big change for me.”  The new captain will no longer be deployed with Max, his former K9 partner, which he thoroughly enjoyed.

Sheriff Imperati praised Grieb’s work during a Mid-Hudson News interview recently, where he said “Captain Todd Grieb has always excelled in each and every one of his assignments during his career,” adding “His work ethic and commitment to serving the community and the men and women of the DCSO are unparalleled.”

Despite having served with other DCSO for two decades, Grieb noted that he has no plans to retire anytime soon.
