POUGHKEEPSIE – The Marist women’s lacrosse team has been picked eighth in the 2023 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Coaches Preseason Poll. The Red Foxes earned 23 points in the poll, ahead of only Quinnipiac who finished nineth with 22 points. Fairfield University earned seven of nine first place votes, for a total of 78 points, and enter the season as the first ranked team in the conference.
Senior attacker Kerri Gutenberger was named to the Preseason All-MAAC Team. During her junior season, Gutenberger led the Red Foxes in goals (37), points (53), and draw controls (63) in the regular season as she was named to the All-MAAC Second Team for the 2022 season.
The Marist women’s lacrosse team is set to start its schedule on Saturday, February 18th at home as they host Bucknell University. The game is scheduled for 1 p.m.
