Massachusetts man in Dutchess County jail after being found with large amount of cocaine

AMENIA – Wayne Green, 42, of Massachusetts is in the custody of the Dutchess County Jail after a traffic stop in Amenia resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of drugs.  Green was stopped by a Dutchess County Deputy Sheriff on January 10 for a traffic violation.  During the encounter, the deputy discovered drugs in the vehicle.

Members of the Dutchess County Drug Task Force responded to the traffic stop in Amenia and determined that Green was in possession of more than eight ounces of cocaine, with a street value of more than $30,000.

Green was taken into custody and charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance.  He was arraigned in the Town of Dover Justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.
