Ulster County man arrested for assault with hammer

TOWN OF ROCHESTER – A 40-year-old Olivebridge man was arrested at his home early in the morning of December 31, 2022 on charges of assault and tension to murder following an attack on another man.

State Police said it is alleged that Michael Latimore struck a man on the head with a hammer in a parking lot in the area of 22 Main Street in the in Olivebridge. That occurred around 5:25 p.m. on December 30. The victim was later flown to Albany Medical Center.

Latimore was arraigned and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail, $50,000 bond or $300,000 partial bond.
