Two arrested in Spring Valley homicide

SPRING VALLEY – Two Spring Valley men are in the Rockland County Jail, each charged with murder in the stabbing death of 52-year-old Luis Pinduisaca-Villa of Spring Valley early on Thursday, December 29.

He was found by a passerby on Johnson Street adjacent to 55 North Myrtle Avenue. The victim had been stabbed in the neck, police said.

Village police spent the overnight conducting interviews, gathering evidence and following leads that led to the arrest of 27-year-old Oscar Garcia-Garcia and 40-year-old Eustaquio Diaz-Guitierrez. The first suspect was in custody 12 hours after the crime was committed.

Police did not release a motive for the killing, but they said the investigation is continuing.

Anyone who may have information about the homicide or may have seen anything suspicious in the area is asked to call Spring Valley Police at 845-356-7400.

Assisting in the investigation were the Rockland County Bureau of Criminal Investigation, County Computer Crimes, district attorney’s office, medical examiner’s office, State Police and Westchester County Police, as well as the public for their assistance.
