PORT JERVIS – Delicious full course Thanksgiving dinners were cooked, packaged and delivered to 103 local seniors in Port Jervis on Thanksgiving Day, courtesy of a small group of Navy veterans and helpers who prepared and delivered them.  A crew of three, consisting of Roger Fuller, Stanley Fuller, and Mark Barila were the chefs. The three arrived at the Tri-State Naval Ship Post #7241 at 6:30 a.m. to begin the cooking process.

The crew prepared all of the items typical to a Thanksgiving Day meal.  Fabrizzio Morejon and Tim McGoey then delivered each of the meals to a list they compiled from orders given to them.  Additional calls came in as they were preparing the meals.

Roger Fuller said the number was quite a bit higher this year, but he assured that the Naval Ship volunteers were committed to paying for, preparing, and delivering to as many requests as possible for as long as possible.

They received many thanks and smiles as the meals were delivered to each recipient on Thanksgiving Day.
