Gun confiscated during New Rochelle arrest

NEW ROCHELLE – A 57-year-old Mount Vernon man has been arrested for felony criminal possession of a weapon after he was stopped while walking down a New Rochelle Street Thursday evening.

Police were tipped off that a person, later identified as Patric Brown, was in illegal possession of a gun in the vicinity of North and Sickles Avenues.

Officers found a loaded .38 caliber revolver in his possession.

He was placed under arrest.
