TAGHKANIC – A 59-year-old Troy man was killed when the motorcycle he was operating on the Taconic State Parkway in the Town of Taghkanic was struck by an eastbound Taconic Hills Central School District 2019 Chevrolet Traverse.
The incident just before 4 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, claimed the life of motorcyclist Craig McNulty, State Police said. The driver of the bus, Christine Costa, 60, of Claverack, crossed the northbound lanes from Post Hill Road when her bus struck the bike.
McNulty was transported to Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson where he was pronounced dead.
Costa was treated at the hospital for minor injuries. The school vehicle carried three students, all of whom were uninjured.
The investigation is continuing.
