HIGHLAND – Lloyd Town Police believe they have solved the case of flowers, plants and pumpkins being stolen from graves of loved ones at the Highland Cemetery.
There have been several complaints of the thefts over the last several months.
After a lengthy investigation and the help from the community, police arrested two people Wednesday.
John Riach, 69, and Lisebeth Riach, 63, from the Town of Newburgh, were charged with the felony of cemetery desecration and several counts of petit larceny.
They were released on appearance tickets returnable to Lloyd Town Court.
