WHITE PLAINS – A Mahopac man was sentenced on Tuesday to 15 years in state prison with 15 years of post-release supervision, for engaging in sexual conduct with a child between 2017 and 2019.
Segundo Loja-Mayancela, 34, subjected the victim to intercourse and other sexual acts on several occasions in the Village of Ossining. The course of sexual conduct began when the victim was 10 years old.
The Ossining Police Department arrested Mayancela on May 20, 2022, following an investigation with the assistance of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.
As part of the sentence imposed in Westchester County Court, the defendant will be required to register as a sex offender after he completes his prison sentence, said Westchester District Attorney Miriam Rocah.
