New US citizens take oath of allegiance at Rockland naturalization

POMONA – New American citizens from over a dozen countries became naturalized US citizens on Friday as they took the oath of allegiance in Rockland County.

The new citizens came from the Dominican Republic, Ukraine, Ireland, Yemen and other countries.

District Attorney Tom Walsh and Rockland County Clerk Donna Silverman welcomes the new citizens as they raised their right hands and swore allegiance to the United States.

They were joined at the ceremony by family and friends.

Walsh told the new citizens to dream big and get involved in their local community.
