Yonkers man indicted for shooting three people

WHITE PLAINS – A 23-year-old Yonkers man was indicted by a Westchester County grand jury on charges connected with a July shooting that wounded three people in Yonkers.

Jaquan Henderson was indicted on three counts each of attempted murder and assault, three counts of criminal possession of a weapon, all violent felonies.

It is alleged that on July 16 at about 10:45 p.m., he fired 11 shots at a group of people on School Street in Yonkers. The wounded parties were transported to area hospitals where they underwent emergency surgery.

Henderson was apprehended in Lithonia, Georgia on August 3 by the FBI’s Atlanta Metro Major Offender Task Force following an investigation by local and county law enforcement in Westchester County.
