SAUGERTIES – A 36-year-old Town of Saugerties man has been arrested and charged with two felony counts of grand larceny for allegedly stealing two vehicles from the parking lot of Monroe Muffler & Brake Service at 3160 Route 9W. The vehicles had been stolen off the lot during the overnight hours.
Spencer Lane, who was arrested on July 22, the day after the vehicles were taken, was released on his own recognizance in accordance with the state’s bail reform law.
He allegedly stole a 2015 Subaru Forester and a 2019 Nissan Frontier from the business parking lot.
Both vehicles were located undamaged. The Nisan was located off Main Street in the City of Kingston and the Subaru was located on Lamb Avenue in the Town of Saugerties.
