LaGrange town judge fends off primary challenges from local attorney

TOWN OF LAGRANGE – Justice Court Judge Susan Sullivan-Bisceglia fended off primary challenges for both the Republican and Conservative ballot lines on Tuesday night.

Republican Judge Sullivan-Bisceglia, running for re-election for her seat on the bench, fended off a challenge from attorney Carl Chu, who attempted to take the Republican and Conservative ballot lines away from the incumbent.

In the Conservative primary, Sullivan-Bisceglia garnered 31 votes while Chu mustered 17 votes in his favor.

In the Republican primary battle, Sullivan-Bisceglia easily defeated Chu by 285 votes.  The judge had 551 votes in her favor while Chu received 266 votes.

Sullivan-Bisceglia will appear on the Republican and Conservative ballots in November.
