Three injured by chemical release at taxidermy shop

MONTGOMERY – Three people were unconscious when a chemical, believed to be ammonium sulfite, was released at a taxidermy business at 11 Factory Street in the Village of Montgomery late Thursday morning.

Three employees were unconscious with two recovering and the third having difficulty breathing, according to EMS.

The Montgomery Fire Department was on the scene along with Coldenham firefighters.

The cause of the release is under investigation.
