MONTICELLO – A Walden couple was sentenced on Friday in Sullivan County Court to 25 years to life in state prison for killing two men in Swan Lake in January 2021.
Chasity Cutway, 39, and David Host, 33, each pled guilty in February, admitting they broke into the men’s home and fatally stabbed Derek and Glenn Travis.
“This brutal attack continues to traumatize those left in the wake, who suffer from the loss of their loved ones and the futures they planned together, as well as the loss of their ability to feel safe in their own homes,” said Sullivan County District Attorney Meagan Galligan. “While no sentence can bring that back, we hope that the incarceration of these defendants for up to their entire lives brings some closure to them and safeguards our community from these dangerous offenders.”
