Ulster Sheriff’s Office makes arrests

KINGSTON – The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office has made three arrests in recent separate cases.

Makayla Hanley, 19, of Port Ewen was arrested on charges of misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a personal injury auto accident and assault.

At around noon on April 20, deputies responded to a report of an accident with injuries on Route 9W in Port Ewen.

Investigation determined Hanley was driving south on Route 9W when she rear-ended another vehicle and fled the scene. A short time later, she was stopped near the traffic circle in the Town of Ulster where it was alleged she was driving drunk.

She was issued an appearance ticket.

The driver of the other car was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Just before 4 p.m. on April 21, deputies stopped a vehicle on Flatbush Road in the area of Route 199 in the Town of Ulster for a traffic infraction. The resulting investigation alleged the driver, Cesar Maceda, 46, of the Bronx, was in possession of three forged temporary Texas license plates.

He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to town court.

At around 4:40 p.m. on April 21, deputies arrested Andrew DeMicco, 31, of Spring Glen after they conducted an investigation in the Town of Wawarsing.

He was charged with the felony of failure to report a change of address as a sex offender as required within 10 days of a move.

He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to town court.
