WHITE PLAINS – The Holocaust & Human Rights Education Center “strongly condemns Russia’s continuous and abhorrent attack on Ukraine,” the leadership of the organization said in a statement.
“We are deeply concerned about the death of innocent civilians and the plight of Ukrainian refugees,” said Center Chairman Michael Gyory and Executive Director Millie Jasper.
“HHREC supports the Ukrainian people, including many Holocaust survivors still living in the country,” they said. “Having suffered under both Nazism and Communism, today the Ukrainian people, under the inspired leadership of its president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, seek to sustain their desire to remain an independent, democratic nation.”
The center’s leaders called on world leaders “to continue support for Ukraine and denounce Russia for its unproved invasion.”
