TUXEDO – State Police are investigating a crash on Old Route 17 in the Town of Tuxedo near the Sloatsburg border at around 7:30 Monday morning in which the driver of a sedan was killed.
He is identified by police as Ahkem Chu III, 23, of Chester.
Troopers said the driver of a 2007 Honda Accord was traveling southbound when for unknown reasons crossed into the northbound lane and struck a fully loaded logging truck.
The driver of the Honda was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern where the individual died.
There were two occupants in the truck, neither of whom was injured.
State Police were assisted at the scene by Town of Tuxedo Police and Ramapo Town Police.
