GOSHEN – Economic development interest in Orange County continues to run high, but the number of so-called shovel-ready sites is diminishing.

The Orange County IDA wants to know what sites are available to accommodate industries that offer good paying jobs. So, the agency has issued a request for proposals to hire a professional company to conduct a market analysis of what is available, said IDA Executive Director Bill Fioravanti.

  • “Having the locations in which to bring these projects is just fundamental, so it something that is a challenge for us now, but the IDA sees this an opportunity for us to make that difference and help county the county where it needs to be really at the forefront and as competitive as any region ore location to attract the biggest and best employers,” he said.

The deadline to submit proposals to conduct a market study is May 6
