GOSHEN – Middletown resident Cory Williams will be spending the next 13 years of his life behind bars in a state prison following his conviction after trial of possessing cocaine with intent to sell.

Williams, 46, was convicted on December 6, 2021 of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

On December 18, 2019, police executed a search warrants for his Little Monhagen Road home in Middletown as well as his car and himself.

He was apprehended in his car shortly after 6 in the morning. A total of 19 individually packaged bags of cocaine were recovered from his groin area and from between his buttocks.

At trial prosecutors argued Williams intended to sell the coke.

Assisting Middletown City Police in the investigation were the Special Operations Group of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and the State Police.

“This case demonstrates the District Attorney’s Office’s ongoing commitment to work with our law enforcement partners to stop drug dealers who attempt to profit off the addiction of others,” said DA David Hoovler. “Those who refuse to stop committing felonies, even after they have previously been convicted, deserve enhanced sentences.”
