ORANGETOWN – The Orangetown Police Benevolent Association announced on Monday the passing of retired Police Chief Kevin Nulty.
He was appointed as a town police officer in 1976 and rose through the ranks and became chief in 1987, a post he held until his retirement in 2019.
“For 43 years he served our community proudly, with 23 of them being chief,” a union statement said. ”Our membership sends our prayers to his wife Ann and his family during this difficult time, and our condolences to those who knew and loved him.”
