KINGSTON – The YMCA of Kingston and Ulster County is joining with the YMCA of the USA, YMCA Europe, the World YMCA, and YMCA Ukraine to assist efforts to provide financial and technical support for youth, families and communities in need.
The YMCA of Kingston and Ulster County is accepting donations that will be sent to support humanitarian efforts at YMCAs in Ukraine and Europe who are supporting refugee resettlement and victims of the conflict.
“We believe it is a socially responsible thing to do,” said Heidi Kirschner, CEO/president of the YMCA of Kingston and Ulster County. “Our Mission compels us to embrace and celebrate the richness of diversity within each other. We uphold the principles of caring and inclusion; we are respectful of various expressions of faith and serve families and individuals from all traditions, backgrounds and perspectives. Together, we work to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential with dignity.”
