POUGHKEEPSIE – The accident between a school bus and a New York State Police patrol vehicle that claimed a life is under investigation by the New York State Attorney General’s Office. A bus monitor died on Tuesday when the two vehicles collided on Route 55 in LaGrange.
A Spokesperson for Troop K of the New York State Police confirmed on Wednesday that the preliminary investigation conducted by troopers at the scene has been turned over to the Attorney General.
Authorities have not released the name of the victim.
The State Police will not be releasing any additional information about the accident and all inquiries have been redirected to the Office of the Attorney General.
