LIBERTY – Fire overnight Tuesday at the Buckley Garden Apartments senior living center at 280 North Main Street in Liberty brought out dozens of firefighters and left at least one resident with burns. That individual was airlifted by medical helicopter to Westchester Medical Center.
The fire in the five-story building weas called in around 11 p.m. Several departments were called in for manpower and water supply.
One firefighter issued a mayday call and was rescued from the fifth floor of the building.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
