POUGHKEEPSIE – “The decision by the CDC to classify Dutchess County as a low-transmission area further supports the need for Governor Hochul to end the mask mandate, as we have been urging,” County Executive Marc Molinaro said. “Use of emergency powers is no longer appropriate, and Governor Hochul should lift her mask mandate in schools and daycares, effective Monday.”
The county executive said those who wish to continue wearing a mask “for their benefit are encouraged to make that choice. It is long past time we move forward.”
